These are the latest pictures of the construction. The work was delayed because of the rainy season. As you can see we are now at roofing level. The trusses are in place and we are waiting for the delivery of the sheets. Once they are in place we can start plastering and painting.

Supplying the school that will be constructed on the Titukuke plot in Petauke with books for 180 pupils of grades 1 and 2 and manuals for their teachers. The school will be new and there are no books available as yet.

I am the founding member of Stichting Steun Titukuke Zambia in the Netherlands. And worked for Titukuke Rural Community Development Association in Petauke Zambia in 2007-2008 as a VSO Volunteer .
For over 18 months I have lived and worked in Petauke and cooperated with the local authorities and Titukuke. I know the local situation very well. Upon returning home I founded: Foundation 'Steun Titukuke Zambia' together with friends and family who visited me in Petauke.
Together we decided that the foundation’s focus should be on education as this is a crucial tool in poverty reduction

I am responsible for all MS partners in the Eastern Province and visit Titukuke regularly for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

As a Director of programs I have known Titukuke for over 3 years: I came over on a field visit in December 2007 and visited the projects and their work in the rural areas. Firelight Foundation has been a donor for Titukuke for 4 years.
