Onlangs heeft HAU het derde project online bij de 1 % club afgerond. Zie http://www.1procentclub.nl/projects/hopealiveuganda3 Om die reden wilde ik als oprichter van HAU graag een nieuw project online zetten bij de 1 % club, een project gericht op kraamzorg in Kisozi. Een heel actueel project omdat we volop bezig zijn een kraamafdeling als onderdeel van het hiv/aids informatie centrum en medisch centrum te realiseren. Echter, de 1 % club liet ons weten dat er geen 2 projecten van HAU tegelijkertijd online kunnen staan, ook al wordt dit project beheerd door mijn rechterhand in Oeganda en staat dit project toch al aardig lang online. De keus was snel gemaakt na overleg gisteravond met Eddy in Oeganda. Internet gebruik is een probleem in Oeganda en de werving voor dit project gaat erg erg langzaam. Zelf ben ik in Nederland in staat actief te werven en omdat de kraamafdeling urgenter en heel actueel is hebben wij besloten dat project voorrang te geven en dit project te stoppen. Nu is er al een klein bedrag ingezameld, 157 euro. Ik heb de 1 % club gevraagd of het mogelijk is dit bedrag ten goede te laten komen van één van de projecten van HAU of als start over te hevelen naar het kraamzorg project. Als dit alles niet mogelijk zou zijn heb ik zelfs aangegeven dat wanneer het ten goede komt aan andere projecten, dit ook okee is. Maar de beste oplossing lijkt mij dat het ten goede gaat komen aan het kraamzorg project dat online zal komen. Wij hopen dat jullie hier achter kunnen staan en ons ondersteunen in de keuze voor het kraamzorg project en het feit dat ik in Nederland voor dat project actiever zal kunnen werven dan voor dit project of Eddy voor dit project. Wij willen de mensen die ons ondersteunden hier hartelijk danken en hopen dat jullie ons werk zullen blijven volgen!

Hoe komt het dat er nog zo weinig is gedoneerd? Het is toch een mooi praktisch project, en het staat al meer dan een jaar op de site? Ik zou zeggen: iets actiever werven...!

Recommendation: Michel came up with a simple name :) which we didn't think of before :) but which is a name which we think people can remember while in Jinja and surroundings. Michel designed 3 different logos but we felt one was the best which is the one we will upload with this task. Thanks Michel for the efforts you have taken! We are really really satisfied. We have found a location in the centre of Jinja, and we are now trying to agree about the rent of the place. Later this year, you will find us with this name and logo in Jinja centre :)
