| Over mij / ons: | I am a young artist. I have been a part of the hiphop movement for about five years now. I was raised by both of my parents until the age of thirteen, after that my parents separated, I lived with just my mother, brother and sisters. Most of my friends were involved in gangs. They got into a lot of bad stuff and most of them are dead now—murdered by other gang members or by the police. I have always wanted to do something different—something more. Instead of causing death I want to generate life. I want people to live together, with respect and peace. This is what I have found in the hiphop movement. And I want to help others find it, as well. Young people like us do not have safe spaces to practice their dance, graffiti, or music. That is why we started A.G.H. Trasciene. It is a hiphop center where all four hiphop elements will be taught. There are a lot of kids who want to live and work to make this a better country. We hope that we can provide some of them with an opportunity to do so. Within the organization I am in charge of educational workshops, hiphop workshops and dj workshops. I’m also one of the seven founding members. |
