Over mij / ons:I'm leading a startup social entreprenuership which will be collorating with rural communities in East Africa to help build algae raceway ponds, biodigester units & rainwater harvesting facilities. These low-cost technologies will allow a village to produce their own ultra-clean burning ethanol cooking fuel, mini-grid electricity, high-protein animal feed & organic fertilizer, and provide improved access to freshwater. We will also set up additional algae units to cultivate Spirulina, a type of microalgae that's indigenous to the region and has been found to offer great nutritional value. This product will be cultivated, quality-checked, dried & packaged for local retail sales, for distribution via food-aid organizations to help fight malnutrition, and exported to the US/EU/Australia as a high-margin brand of nutritional supplements that consumers will know as being produced by, and for the benefit of, those living in rural Africa.
