Over mij / ons:Mr. Selwambala Julius is a managing director of Silver Upholders Microfinance, a small and young microfinance company serving women entrepreneurs in the slums of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Miss Nassiwa featured in the above project is our client who has taken several micro loans from our organization to establish a small childrens school, this school has been developing bit by bit and has been in existence for over 3 years. The major purpose of the school is to educate the children in the community, but due to the floods that happened after a long drought the school got flooded yet our small micro finance organization would not have enough funds to help her renovate the destroyed floors, that is why we have sought the help of 1% Club to have our profile up so that she can possibly get some help to renovate the school so that children can use those classrooms and if possible interns to teach the children and scholastic materials.
Waarom 1%LID:We are joining the 1% Club because we want to provide extra benefit to our clients, our organization is small and has limited funds, with 1%Club this can be changed. Our average micro loan is 222 Euros, yet some times our clients need much more than that, with 1% Club they now have an opportunity to meet their dreams, to renovate schools, to purchase farming equipment, to restock clinics for malaria treatment and so on.
