Over mij / ons:	In May 2010, over 20 children were obliged to leave an orphanage that had been their home in Siem Reap on grounds that were unfair. For many of them, this was the only home they had ever known. As funding grew short for that particular orphanage, the children, who had been at school, were forced back on to the streets, uncared for, with nothing to survive on. Luckily, some of the carers decided that they had to do something to rescue these poor children and OEO was set up to rescue these children and others in similar situations. In desperate times, these children need all the help they can get into putting a roof back over their heads and the love and care they deserve in an ethically run orphanage. You can help these children. With even a small donation that you may not think would help can help give these children the lives they deserve. Thank you. OEO’s Plan OEO strives to be a completely corrupt free orphanage where the focus is the children and the aim is to give them the possibilities and future they deserve. The goal is to bring the children together with the environment and teach them how to live sustainably. OEO plans to grow organic vegetables, raise chickens, offer schooling and English classes, teach music, art, dance, and computer skills, connect two walks of life (city and village children), and offer breakfast to not just the children at the orphanage but to the neighboring children as well. It is a big dream and in the future OEO even has plans to build a school in the isolated and very poor forest village. But first they need to be successfully set up. The first and most important point is to rescue the children and provide them with a safe, secure environment where they are respected and valued. We will be able to rescue these children and put a roof back over their heads, provide them with food and let them re-start their education at the nearby school. Once the centre in Siem Reap is set up and the children are safe, then the above plan will start to develop.
Waarom 1%LID:	We believe the 1% club is a perfect platform on which local NGO's can bring awareness to the work they do for those in need. It allows organisations to raise funds for projects that are incredibly important, by bringing it to the awareness of those able to help.
